Circles of Confusion is a meditative experimental documentary about loss in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The filmmaker parallels her experience upon returning to New Orleans with the experience of filmmaker Stevenson Palfi, who committed suicide in the months after the hurricane.
Circles of Confusion, received a Student Academy Award at the 34th Annual Student Academy Awards ceremony on June 7, 2008 at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The film also received a “Golden Gate Award“ in the New Visions category from the San Francisco International Film Festival , an audience award for “Best Experimental Short“ from the Santa Cruz Film Festival and a Jury's Citation/2nd Prize from the Black Maria Film Festival.
